Creaform Engineering, a division of Creaform – Quebec’s leader in comprehensive engineering services – is proud to announce the opening of a new office in the MiQro Innovation Collaboration Center (C2MI), the largest microelectronics R&D center in Canada, located in the Bromont Science Park. This initiative will make it possible for Creaform Engineering to increase its geographic reach and offer its customers in Estrie, Montreal’s South Shore and Centre-du-Quebec the best design, engineering and simulation services.
This pilot project, which will run for at least three years, represents the convergence of two major hubs of innovation in Quebec – Creaform Engineering, a multidisciplinary team that has been offering comprehensive engineering services for the past 20 years, and C2MI, a company that has represented a fundamental link between applied research and the rapid commercialization of microelectronic products for more than 10 years.
Favorably situated halfway between Montreal and Sherbrooke, this new office will allow Creaform Engineering to continue growing in an environment conducive to innovation in its purest form. With a presence in this location, the company is also geographically optimally positioned to attract new talent and expand its team of more than 200 experts. Many key players in the microelectronics industry are established in Bromont, and their proximity will have a positive influence on the development of the company and its highly qualified personnel.
“By joining forces, Creaform Engineering and C2MI will significantly contribute to the growth of both operations, in addition to offering Quebec’s innovation developers the ideal environment in which to evolve”, says Martin Jomphe, Business Development Manager at Creaform Engineering.
Marie-Josée Turgeon, Executive Director of C2MI, adds: “It is with real excitement that we welcome to C2MI a talented team that will increase the Center’s overall offer. In microelectronics manufacturing, design engineering services play a fundamental role. Having these skills and expertise at hand is key to supporting the innovations and expertise of the Quebec ecosystem.”
